As we reported in our post dated 30th December, JLR/Jaguar and Land Rover have showcased their concept models at the 2012 Auto Expo. Back at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show the company displayed Land Rover DC100 and Land Rover DC100 Sport concept cars and recently they graced the Auto Expo as well. The company has designed both the models following a very futuristic approach and both the concepts carry the real spirit of the Land Rover Series 1 established in 1948. In a simple term the concepts are a modern interpretation of the brand's heritage and are very futuristic in all aspects. During the last week of December 2011 we had reported that Jaguar and Land Rover a.k.a JLR will be showcasing their respective concept products at the 2012 Auto Expo. Keeping their promise they have done so and to start with we will talk about Jaguar C-X16. The C-X16 is Jaguar's latest concept sports car and carries the company's traditional front-engined, rear wheel drive formula. The same formula has been reiterated for this concept car and the end result is a performance oriented hybrid drivetrain with 50:50 weight distribution. General Motors India unveiled its premium hatchback for India in front of thousands of visitors and media-persons at the Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi India on 6th of January 2012. Chevrolet Sail hatchback is already sold in China along with its sedan version. GM is testing the Sail hatchback in India for past few months and it has been spotted on camera many times in past 2 months. The Chevrolet Sail is expected to replaced the dates Chevrolet Aveo Uva in India with a modern and feature rich offering. In small car segment, the Chevrolet Spark and Chevrolet Beat are already present and the Beat is quite popular in India already.
